Thunderbird Stadium

A popular venue for many large events, Thunderbird Stadium is no stranger to high-level sports competition, including hosting the final games of both WUCC 1997 and WUGC 2008. Situated in the heart of the UBC campus, the stadium boasts an impressive arsenal of services and amenities that fit the needs of both the players and fans of Vancouver Nighthawks Ultimate.

With an under-cover seating capacity of 3500 and an additional 1500 lawn seats west of the field, the stadium is ready to accommodate the spectators attending each of the five regular season home games that the Nighthawks will be hosting in 2016. Thunderbird Stadium features an outstanding lighting set-up along with an illuminated scoreboard and P.A. system.

Amenities include a number of box-office wickets, a concession for spectators, and a wheelchair accessible area. Located in the Upper Plaza is the parking area, directly adjacent to the stadium. This concrete area serves as a parking lot for up to 2000 cars, plus a tailgate locale for BBQ’s and other activities.
