The Nighthawks continued their 2016 signing announcements today, adding another name to the roster for the upcoming season.

The Vancouver Nighthawks announced today that Francisco Mogollon has signed onto the roster for the 2016 season.

Mogollon (6’2″, 165lbs) is a native of Bogota, Colombia.  Introduced to ultimate as a student, Mogollon was a founder of the ultimate team at Central University in Bogota.  

Mogollon continued his career with the Bogota club team Seregon and competing with Colombia’s Mixed Team at the 2008 World Ultimate and Guts Championship in Vancouver.

After moving to British Columbia, Mogollon joined the Vancouver club team Blackfish, reaching Canadian Nationals from 2009-2012.  In 2013, Mogollon won a gold medal at Canadian Nationals as part of the Furious George club team.

While a rookie in the MLU, Mogollon has professional experience, playing for the AUDL’s Vancouver Riptide in the team’s inaugural season in 2014.  In his one season with the Riptide, Mogollon tallied 12 goals, 17 assists and 10 blocks on 232 points played, primarily on D-lines.
