Veteran Kirk Savage will be returning to the Vancouver Nighthawks for their second season.

The 5’10” 175-pound Savage, who at age 39 has 20 years of top level Ultimate competition under his belt, scored 10 goals and 21 assists last season while serving as one of the primary handlers on the Nighthawks offense.

Given that his long time handling partner and last year’s leading scorer Oscar Pottinger is not returning to the team this year, the Nighthawks will rely even more heavily on his leadership, skill, and experience as they try to make the playoffs for the first time.

Head Coach Andrew Lugsdin commented, “Kirk still has the fire to compete and he still has the skills. I think we’ll use him in a number of different roles this year.”
