Thunderbird Stadium – Vancouver

Located on UBC’s gorgeous campus, Thunderbird Stadium has been the home of the Vancouver Nighthawks since their inception. The stadium can comfortably seat 3,500 under the grandstand and has parking available just outside. For those fans lacking personal transportation, buses run from most SkyTrain stations. A map can be found here.

Fan in the Stands

Just how much do you love the Nighthawks? It’s time for all of those die-hards to come from out of the woodwork on Saturday, strut their stuff and be a Fan in the Stands! Materials will be provided for signs and all fans are encouraged to participate. For those needing incentive, there will be prizes. Supporters can tweet @VCNighthawks or email info@vancouvernighthawks.com with their best selfie (hashtag #WingmanSelfie) to grab some attention before or during the game.

Big heads, bigger stars

You know you’ve always wanted a Nighthawk’s face in your living room and now you finally can; Saturday’s game will be the first opportunity for fans to pick up a limited edition Vancouver Nighthawks BigFace. BigFaces will be for sale for $20 on game day but those wishing to ensure they snag one can pre-order by emailing info@vancouvernighthawks.com.

Victory drinks

Looking for a place to have a few pints, grab some food, and hang out with the Nighthawks after the game? Mahony & Sons is minutes away from Thunderbird Stadium (map here) . Thanks to an all-ages family section, fans with kids in tow needn’t call it an early night on account of them. And if the company, Irish pub fare, and convenience isn’t enough, bringing in your ticket stub will earn fans 10 per cent off on game days.

Also of note, Mahony & Sons will be televising the Nighthawks away games on May 17 and June 21.

Can’t make it out to the game? No worries, the MLU has you covered. There will be a live steam on the league’s YouTube channel which fans can watch here. The action can also be followed on Twitter via the Nighthawks’ account @VCNighthawks.

If you haven’t picked up some tickets for tomorrow’s game yet, mosey on over here and do so!
