Among the many talented rookies on the Vancouver Nighthawks in 2016, Lo established himself quickly as an important piece in Head Coach Patrick Gatien’s offense. A product of Langara College, Lo is a reliable handler that tallied three goals, six assists and three blocks over his 122 points played in 2016, but his true value to the offense may not have shown up in the boxscore.

Lo’s role in the offense capitalized on his ability to take care of the disc. Oftern serving as the reset or dump option for his teammates, Lo’s reliable handling and smart decisions on the field lead to him touching the disc more than most of his teammates. Finishing the year third on the team with 1.446 touches per offensive posession (TPOP), Lo completed 92.8% of his passes on the season, good for fifth best on the team. While his contributions to the Nighthawks offense may not have appeared in the statline, he was recognized after the season, recieving votes for Western Conference Rookie of the Year.
